I still want to write some new article also, but that can wait.

I have updated my CAPTCHA code in my guestbook since the spammers are getting smarter and i made a not well-designed code code at the beginning. Actually i have made a new one few months ago, but since i had no problem, i don't update the code. Now, when spammers can get through my validation, i think it's time to update the code (anyway, i only need to upload the new one).

I hope this article will help you install PHP from source, mostly to solve problem with MySQL 4.1 and above since PHP's default MySQL Client library can't be used to connect to MySQL 4.1+ because new hash password technology that has been implemented in MySQL 4.1+. Comments are always welcome to improve this small tutorial.
I have removed Tag-Board and remove it with CBox. It has more theme and also more manageable for me, so i switch to it. Thanks to SlackX for recommending this new apps. It works better and nicer for me. I hope everybody like this new interface.
I have added a new image and also link to PageRank in left side of my home page. It will display how important my web is on the Web. Basically, you will get the same value if you install Google PageRank Status extension in Firefox, but the problem is, not everybody uses Firefox and install the extension, so i will display it on my website. You can help me to increase the value by linking your website to mine if you have your own website (or blog) or you think my web is important to visit (mostly if you think that my articles are nice to read and usefull to other people).
I have added new article, Configuring Sound in Slackware. I wrote this article because many people were confused to configure their soundcard in Slackware even though you could have done it in three simple steps. I have added an icon of Google Ad Sense and also Google Ads on the right side of my page, but it seems that it will make the page became longer and longer, so i decided to put the Google AdSense icon on the top right of the page and for the Firefox icon, it will be on the top left of the page.
I added a new icon to replace "Made with CSS" button in the left side of my page. It will show the status of my Yahoo Messenger. I got the script from id-php mailing list.
To fulfill someone's wish who request an article about how to activate scroll on Slackware in my Tag-Board, i have added a new article, Activating Scroll on Slackware. Thanks for your attention.
One of my friend at Indonesian Linux Forum is having a trouble to update his Centrino driver, so i wrote some short article about Upgrading Centrino Driver. I hope you find this article usefull.
I updated the view section on my guestbook, so it will be well displayed on IE browser, since i forgot to check the CSS code for IE. The entries were not in their proper place, it was all way down, since IE miscalculate the width of the div section. I must use some CSS hack to get it done by using child selector, one of the most popular CSS hack. It's fixed now, but if find any unexpected views, please let me know as soon as possible. Make sure you write the browser and the platform that you used to browse my site.
I have written a new article, "Configuring Services on Slackware" to help people manage services on Slackware distro, because it has a different way to configure the services. Check it out and give your comments if you have any suggestions.
I removed some of images on the right side and added into a new menu that will take you to my public transcript of Brainbench. It will make this site load faster and decreasing the bandwidth usage. It will also help improve the usability a bit.
I have added new facility to give comments on my writings. This way, people who read my articles can give their comments, suggestions, improvements, or their private opinion. It's only a few hours quality code, but i hope it will works well.

Update:
I have made some slight changes to the articles about the path and remove the Slackware's path section,
since it has been fixed by using the latest udev and hotplug package so there isn't any modification needed anymore. It's also been published in PCPlus 235.
I have written a new article, called Installing Kernel on Slackware. It will guide users who use Slackware distro to install kernel 2.6.x into their systems along with kernel 2.4.x. Big thanks to Patrick J. Volkerding that made Slackware distro and it became one of my favorite distro right now and wonderfull documentation that helped me installing kernel 2.6 on my laptop.
New menu has been added, My Publications. It will list my publications that has been published in two computer magazines, PCPlus and InfoLinux. The list will updated once a new article has been published in one of the magazine.
Konqueror has been updated with CSS2 and CSS3 support in KDE 3.3.X and KDE 3.4.X, so it will render this page with better outputs. I have tested this page in Konqueror 3.3.2 (Mandriva 2005 Limited Edition) and Konqueror 3.4.1 (Slackware 10.1). It was perfectly rendered, not like the previous Konqueror which render incorrectly.
I updated my guestbook page to remove the table layout for the form, added some small numbering and small modification on the layout in the view entries page. Take a look inside and don't forget to sign my guestbook.
I changed the top logo on my site, because it is outdated and also some updates in my Curiculum Vitae and Guestbook page. I'm planning to redesign this site again, but still no idea yet. Perhaps in my spare time in the future :)
I added searching facility, by using Google's search facility. It's the same code being used by Jogja Linux User Group's website on http://jogja.linux.or.id. You can also use it for your own websites. Now, you can search my entire website by using this search engine.
I just finished another Brainbench test (HTML 3.2) and scored 4.31 out of 5.00 which was enough to get my master certification. I also added my new logo above the HTML 4.0 logo.
UPDATE:
I just completed Linux Administration (General) test and got the certification, even though i couldn't pass the master level, as i only got 3.19 out of 5.00.
I have updated the style for this page. It's not a major upgrade, just minor updates. If you have comments on this new style, please send it to my email directly.
I have uploaded a new tutorial about page numbering in OpenOffice.org. This tutorial can be used by OOo users who need two or more different page numbering format in one document. I found it when i'm doing my final project reports. You can find it on the My Writings section. Suggestions, comments, and advices about the tutorial are welcome.
I have updated the tag-board section so it can parse smilies also. In my previous script, i forgot to include the full path of the Tag-Board's URL, so it is displayed as a relative URL and it doesn't exist on my directory, so browser will display the text on the Alt attribute rather than displaying the smilies. Right now, it has been fixed. For text-based browsers, such as Lynx or links, it will be displayed like an emoticon, such as :), :p, :D, etc.
I updated my site so it is based on XHTML 1.0 Spesification. I used W3C Validator to check all of the pages. It tooked me about an hour to make an updates on all of my pages, but now it is finished and has been published. You will notice that my logo on the left side will be changed to XHTML 1.0, rather than HTML 4.01. Unfortunately, i can't make this site as XHTML 1.0 Strict, but only XTHML 1.0 Transitional, since i'm still using <iframe> tag and also some deprecated attributes, such as border.
I added new logo for my new My Activities. It's my new blog for my daily or weekly activities. Please note that this isn't a replacement for My Personal Blog. This new blog will be used to describe my daily or weekly activities, while My Personal Blog will be used to describe anything i like to write on my blog. I also update my side menu to include a link for the new blog.
I added new logo from my Friendster SuperMember account. For you who haven't joined Friendster yet, you can use this link to sign up and my account will be automatically added in your friends list. If you have signed up, you will be redirected to my profile.
I have uploaded my updated public key (i added my new email address, willysr@jogja.linux.or.id and willy.sudiarto.raharjo@gmail.com). Anybody who wants to verify my email messages or sending me an encrypted email messages can download them and use them with PGP or GnuPG.
Since the What's New Section became longer and longer, i decided to show only ten latest update to this website. For the rest, i will put it on the What's New page with no top banner, Tag-Board form, navigation menu, or last 5 blog entries, just the updates entries. This way, the page will be loaded faster.
I have updated the OpenOffice.org's logo on the right side of the web navigation. I got it from the OpenOffice.org website. You can pick a lot of web buttons there with various resolution. This web buttons are made for OpenOffice.org 2.0 promotion that is scheduled to be released on next March.
I have added some tricky CSS Style Sheet to the Website Updates section that can bring new view. There is a new border in each side of the section and also a new sub section addon with a little CSS style sheet combined with an image that can create new border area.
If you pay attention to this site, you will notice that one of the link on the left side navigation bar under the project sub menu is missing. Yes, UKDWNet link was deleted since i'm no longer became the webmaster of the project, so i delete them to avoid a misunderstanding that i'm still in charge of the project. Someone else has been selected to become the webmaster of the UKDWNet right now, since i'm not joining the WWW2 division again (i have been in this division for two years and it's time to give the responsibility to other people).
Lately i have seen a pop up window appearing in my website. It is not my intention to do so, but it was a pop up window from Tag-Board. If the pop-up is kindda annoying, you can use some application to block the pop-up, such as Mozilla Firefox or Opera that comes with a built in pop-up blocker. If you use Internet Explorer 6 and Windows XP, consider to install the Service Pack 2 which add a pop-up blocker into IE 6. If you do not use Windows XP, you can use Google Toolbar to block the pop-up.
I've add my last 5 posting from my blog into this site so you can view them and if you're interested, you can click on the link and it will directly open new window that will send you to the posting. In the first time, i want to add 10 postings, but it will be an unbalanced page if the main content is only a bit. I don't know where should i put this, so i just add it at the top of my tag-board messageboard. If you have any idea or suggestion about this new position, you can contact me.
I'm adding a new banner in the right side, which is Firefox banner from SpreadFirefox.com since i'm a fanatic user of Mozilla Firefox and i have made them my default browser on my computer (both Windows and Linux). You may join the Firefox community and start promoting Firefox by joining SpreadFirefox community. If you haven't got your Firefox, you may download it from Mozilla or you may order it via FirefoxCD or GetFirefox.
I had followed an exam in BrainBench and i have passed both of them, but only one test that was successfull, which was HTML 4.0. I passed the PHP exams either, but my grades aren't enough to reach the master degree from BrainBench. I'll try to fix that grade someday. But.. for now, i think that was enough.
I have made my own blogger, but not in this site, but rather, i'm using Google's facility, Blogger.com. You can view my blog
in http://willysr.blogspot.com. You can post comments into my blog, and feel free to give your own comments
on my blog site. Have fun with the blog and keep blogging. If you want to follow my blog without viewing my blog's site, you can download my RSS feed ![]()
I tried to build this pages as compatible as i could into all browser, but the current browser that could render this page perfectly was IE 6, Firefox 1.0.3 (Windows + GNU/Linux), Opera 8.0 (Windows + GNU/Linux), and Mozilla 1.7.7 (Windows + GNU/Linux). This page was messed up when viewed with Konqueror (I'm using Konqueror 3.2.0 on KDE 3.2's Mandrake 10.0 Official default installation) and IE below 6.0 (ex. IE 5.5 on Windows 2000). I don't know why, but i hope that the latest version of Konqueror can view this page gracefully while IE's case was unfamous, since IE sometimes use another implementation. Until you upgrade your browser, please view it with another browser than Konqueror or browser with least version that i used to build this pages. This page was best viewed with 1024x768, but i had tried to implement some compatibility into 800x600. Just try it, and mail me when you have comments on it.
Finally, i had made my writings online. They contain my writings since i wrote some GNU/Linux articles to PCPlus. It's not as much as you think, but it will grow up later. You can view or copy that articles for your own purpose without asking my permissions. They can be viewed in My Writings.
